Three friends determined to unravel the dark history of New Jersey's No Man's Land discover the evil that’s haunted the woods for centuries may still be out there.

No Man’s Land: Dating back to the colonial village of Raritan Landing, this tiny section of woods in Central New Jersey has a notorious history of violence that includes The Imaginary Friend Murder (1949) and The Flophead Killings (1985).

Legends persist that the horrific pattern may be the result of a malevolent entity. Perhaps that’s why, despite being in the middle of the most densely populated county in New Jersey, the three-square-miles known to locals as No Man’s Land remains abandoned by all of the surrounding communities.

When documentary filmmaker John Hulme returned to his high-school alma mater to teach, he tasked his class with investigating the urban legends of their hometown. The project is over, but three former students can’t seem to leave it behind.

In the aftermath of a frantic 911 call from the abandoned grounds of the Harlem Valley State Hospital, Hulme pieces their story together through a collection of call transcripts, video footage, archival documents, diary entries, and more.
